Now you have made me aware that UK Book Tokens are a scheme to get people into Bookshops, this makes sense as I know Amazon are not a real Bookshop, just a global megastore. I was though surprised to learn from you that Amazon are not members of the Booksellers Association and that this is actually the main criteria for a Bookseller being able to accept Book Token Cards as payment. It has been a real pleasure to deal with you and from now on I will not attempt to use my Book Tokens anywhere else other than the First Bookshop! You may have wondered why we are not on facebook?
That site is on a downward trend, with 100,000 members now leaving monthly in the UK alone! Facebook attracts fraud, also identity theft and as we are a company turning over a very large income, we have to try and restrict our exposure to potential fraudsters. Criminals are also targeting profiles more than ever, for various other reasons. If you are still registered as one of their declining number of users, please be very careful, as the situation will only worsen even further as time goes on. You have been warned!!

Last year, it scored "in the bottom 5% of all measured private sector companies and in the same range as airlines and cable companies, two perennially low-scoring industries with terrible customer satisfaction," according to the July 2010 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) E-Business Report.
Perhaps the new social network GOOGLE+ just launced, will soon replace the beleaguered site that you all once loved?

On 1st May 2011 The Lease Of The Bookshop Garforth Was Taken Over By Baraka Foundation Limited. We Wish Them Every Success As They Take That Business Forward Towards Its 25th Anniversary In 2012.
May we take this opportunity to inform you, that previously and for several years, although the Garforth Bookshop had been run by Byron & Louise Godfrey, they had always refused to take over the lease from us.
