Forty Years Bookselling

Late Summer 1974 our founder Roger Bernard Crossland started as a Bookseller with WH Smith in Leeds, West Yorkshire, employed by them as a Trainee Manager. By 1987 he had instead opened his very own Bookshop in a suburb of Leeds, 10 years later trebling the size of that, by moving into larger premises across the road. He launched the Bookshop Website in 1999 becoming the very first to sell Book Tokens online and in 2004 moved that operation to the East Yorkshire Coast, as a completely seperate entity, still thriving and run by him today. Currently just as many Theatre Tokens are sold as Book Tokens, those particularly being dispatched all over the world, to purchase Theatre Tickets mainly for London's West End.
